Wobbel

Wobbel’s curved wooden balance board can become a rocker, bridge, slide, seat, den wall or stage for imaginative play. Its value lies in the fact that it never tells the child which of those things it should be.

The Wobbel story

Why Little Worlds loves Wobbel

We love Wobbel because it sits at the intersection of movement and imagination. The same object can challenge balance, become a bridge for animals, turn into a shop counter or simply provide a place to sit — without needing accessories or instructions.

The Wobbel was designed in the Netherlands in 2015 as a simple curved balance board made from FSC-certified beech. Its shape invites movement but does not prescribe an exercise: children may rock, balance, climb, build with it or incorporate it into pretend play. That makes the board unusually versatile for a single large object. It can support active play one moment and become furniture or scenery the next.
